Carnies in Hudson!
The undated photograph below shows a group of Circus performers – aka ‘Carnies’ – posing at Hudson Station. If I had to choose a date, I would guess somewhere between 1870 – 1910. This is based on several clues, namely in the dress of the performers, the design of the train depot in the background, and the overall picture quality. Keep in mind that random visitors such at this group would not have been uncommon at all considering the widespread presence of railroads during the date range mentioned above.
